Hello! My name is Angie Williams, the school psychologist at Missouri Valley Middle and High School. This will be my 20th year serving the district. I received my B.S. in Psychology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and completed my M.S. and Ed.S. degrees in School Psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
My job includes providing direct support and interventions to students, consulting with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals to improve support strategies, working with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborating with community providers to coordinate needed services. My work surrounds improving academic achievement, promoting positive behavior & mental health, supporting diverse learners, creating safe & positive school climates, and strengthening school-family partnerships.
I grew up in Big Springs, NE (a small town in Western NE) and now live in Omaha with my husband and two daughters, Claire & Stella. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughters, participating in/watching various sports, reading, and baking. At my house, we cheer on the Huskers during football/volleyball season and then the North Carolina Tarheels when basketball season rolls around.
